Otis is a third grader who made his debut in the episode Arthur's Eyes. Otis is a background character and is usually seen in the background of many episodes.
In Dancing Fools he is Muffy's dance partner, which didn't the pair didn't do very well thanks to Muffy proclaiming "Crosswires never follow". He spoke twice, which took place in the episodes Arthur, World's Greatest Gleeper and Dancing Fools.
Appearance
He is a brown colored bear that wears a cream colored sweater, blue jeans, and red and white shoes. He also has short black hair. In some of his cameos he wears glasses, such as in Dancing Fools. He wears a turquoise colored sweater during the Fall.
Trivia
- Despite being a third Grader, Otis has been seen hanging out with fourth Graders more then other third Graders. He is mostly seen with Brian.
- Otis was seen at the Children's Hospital Boston along with his mother in the Arthur's Guide to Children's Hospital Boston website feature, wearing a red sweater over a white shirt, and brown pants.
- In the intro for the show, Otis is seen along with Alex and three other unnamed fourth graders (4th Grade Male Aardvark, Brian, and 4th Grade Male Rabbit) and the rest of the main characters. There is a chance Otis, Alex, and those three fourth graders were suppose to play some role in the series earlier on, but it either never materialized or may possibly happen in future episodes and seasons.
