Believe in Yourself is a Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers song and functions as the Arthur opening theme, also playing over the end credits. It gets aired in all episodes and also appears in the Arthur and Friends: The First Almost Real Not Live CD (or Tape), as the first track.
The originally recording is 1:51, but is shortened to about 1 minute for the opening theme and 45 seconds for the credits.
A remix of the theme plays over the credits of Season 7 and was released on the album Arthur's Really Rockin' Music Mix.
The theme was covered by the Backstreet Boys for the special Arthur, It's Only Rock 'n' Roll.
Lyrics
Everyday when you're walking down the street, Everybody that you meet. Has an original point of view.
What a wonderful kind of day. If we could learn to work and play. And get along with each other.
Listen to the beat. Listen to the rhythm, the rhythm of the street.
Open up your ears. Get together and make things better By working together.
Oh, Believe in yourself! (believe in yourself!). For that's the place to start! (place to start!)
What a wonderful kind of day! If we could learn to work and play! And get along with each other!
What a wonderful kind of day! Hey! What a wonderful kind of day! Hey!!
