The Music Box.

Go to Sleep is a song performed by D.W. that was available on the Music Box game on the PBS Kids website and was featured on Arthur and Friends: The First Almost Real Not Live CD (or Tape). It was about D.W. complaining that her sister never stops crying. Of course, it isn't actually sung, only spoken, and, aside from the beginning paragraph, shouted.

Mrs. Read was worried that it would disturb Baby Kate, but to her surprise, it actually helped Kate get to sleep.

Lyrics:

All my baby sister does
Is cry and cry and cry
I'll never sleep again
I need the world's most powerful lullaby.

Go to sleep!
Go to sleep!
Count a sheep!
Don't make a peep!
Go to sleep, little baby.

Why do you have to scream in my ear
Why don't you keep it down, I'm right here
It feels like you've been crying for a year
Aren't I making myself very clear?
Go to sleep already, baby.

Go to sleep!
Go to sleep!
Count a sheep!
Don't make a peep!
Go to sleep, little baby.

You've been up all day
You've had plenty of time to play
What in the world are you trying to say
What do you want from me anyway

Go to sleep!
Go to sleep!
Count a sheep!
Sheep! Sheep! Sheep! Sheep!
Go to sleep, little baby.
Go to sleep, little baby.
Go to sleep, little baby.
Go to sleep!
