"It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" is track 22 of the album Arthur's Perfect Christmas. It is a traditional Christmas carol. It is performed by Jane Read, David Read and other caroler friends, though in a much jazzier and up-tempo style than is traditional.

Lyrics[edit]

It came upon a midnight clear
That glorious song of old
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold

Peace on earth, goodwill to men
From heaven's all-gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing

Peace on earth, goodwill to men
From heaven's all-gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing

The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.
