Plot
Arthur is not looking forward to Camp Meadowcroak, and when mysterious things start happening there, he decides to run away.
Trivia
- This book marks the first appearance of Brain.
- The Crosswire family portrait that includes Muffy, as well as her parents Ed and Millicent, and brother Chip can be seen on one of the pages, but Muffy's parents and brother did not make an actual appearance. Her family hasn't been shown again until the TV show, which changed their appearances, but leaving Muffy's signature hairstyle unchanged.
- Rocky, who is the counselor for the boys is seen in this book, but not seen in other books after this. He never made it to television.
