On her vacation, Muffy is writing down everything she does on her vacation even when she is doing something exciting. Back in Elwood City, Mr. Ratburn buys a new fancy computer and in school when tells his students to research their favorite author, Muffy interrupts, saying she is back and kids start asking her questions about her vacation. Muffy said she will answer them later on her blog. Mr. Ratburn put up his new computer, he find the instruction which is a disc but he thinks that it is a paradox. With Muffy, she began to be so obsessed with her blog, she doesn't do anything else fun, much to the dismay of her friends.
The following scene is a montage of Muffy blogging in Costa Rica, and her classmates reading about it online. Mr. Ratburn enters Computer Fun and buys the most user-friendly computer, which is, according to one of the employees, "well worth the expense."

At school, Muffy ask Buster, Francine and Binky if they read her new blog and they began to moan in boredom. Muffy doesn't understand why they are not reading her blog and Buster said lately her blog is getting a little boring, which shocks Muffy. Binky said that she can't just write stuff like she had a salad for lunch, cause nobody would be interested into reading it. Francine also tells Muffy that a blog need to have a "angle" somebody people care about and would be interested into reading the blog. Later Muffy took their advice and called Francine who became outraged by what Muffy wrote and wrote a reply. The next day Buster tells Francine that Muffy put Francine's reply on her blog, surprising Francine. Then Muffy tells Francine that the reply created huge traffic on her blog, suprising Francine again.
Back at Lakewood Elementary, Mr. Ratburn gives the class an assignment to research their favorite author. However, the class is quickly distracted when Muffy announces that she's back from Costa Rica, and she'll be answering people's questions on her blog. "Muffy and the Big Bad Blog" is the second half of the seventh episode in the fourteenth season of Arthur.

Summary

Muffy discovers that web blogging is a great way to keep her readers up to date with her every move... whether they are interested or not! But then she goes too far and publicizes a disagreement with Francine.

Plot

The intro begins with Arthur and Francine playing tennis. Muffy is spectating, and writing down everything that happens. Arthur gets annoyed by Muffy constantly typing, even down to things like "Arthur grunts when he serves," and "Now Arthur is losing his cool." The introduction ends with Muffy telling Arthur that he'd do better if he focused on the game, instead of her. Arthur groans.

Muffy and the Big Bad Blog

Muffy walks into class, announcing that she'll be going to Costa Rica, and she'll be posting about it on her blog. Mr. Ratburn doesn't know what a blog is, so The Brain explains that it's when someone writes their thoughts and posts them on a website for others to read. Muffy states that her blog is called The Muffington Post.

The following scene is a montage of Muffy blogging in Costa Rica, and her classmates reading about it online. Mr. Ratburn enters Computer Fun and buys the most user-friendly computer, which is, according to one of the employees, "well worth the expense."

Back at Lakewood Elementary, Mr. Ratburn gives the class an assignment to research their favorite author. However, the class is quickly distracted when Muffy announces that she's back from Costa Rica, and she'll be answering people's questions on her blog. Arthur finds out that Muffy is now blogging about the positive feedback to her blog.

Mr. Ratburn is setting up his new computer in his house. He finds the instructions, which come on a disc, and decides that it must go in his computer. Since he can't figure out how turn on the computer without reading the instructions, and the instructions require that the computer is turned on, Mr. Ratburn concludes, "It's a paradox!"

Muffy is now able to blog using her MySmartPhoney, because she got Internet access on it. However, all she does is blog, even during baseball games and at school. Mr. Ratburn confiscates her MySmartPhoney when she uses it in class. He returns it at the end of class, and tells Muffy that she should do things besides blogging. Muffy agrees, saying that if she doesn't do anything else, she won't have anything to blog about.
