Trivia

  • This episode's existence was known as early as Spring 2020, when clips from this episode were used in a digital video short about washing hands.
  • When James screams, he has Arthur's voice actor from Season 18 and Season 19, William Healy.
  • Running gag: D.W. saying "fierce."
  • Karma: Bud says that "you can't have more than one best friend.", so D.W. said he's her middlest friend.
  • Timeline:
    • D.W.'s Princess Ladybug puppet was seen in "The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur" and shows up again in "An Arthur Thanksgiving." Though aired earlier, both specials are chronologically set after this episode.
    • The new billboard advertisement covering up the Katinka Mink billboard is for Kale Smoothy, which has been seen in other episodes, including "An Arthur Thanksgiving." In fact, Muffy serves Kale Smoothies to her friends in "Arthur's Big Meltdown."
  • Moral:
    • If your too young for something don't overreact for your own benefits.
    • You can have more than one best friend.

Episode connections

Errors

  • There are several instances where Hana's earring and bangs switch between her right and left sides. This is a common animation error for characters with non-symmetrical designs that is observed in many Flash-animated episodes (beginning with Season 16).
  • In the cold open, the background image is mirrored briefly, with storefront signs appearing backward.
