Marc Brown is a special guest character, based on the real author of the Arthur books. In the television series, he appears to reside in Elwood City. He usually shows up as a background character, though he has had speaking roles in "Fern's Flights of Fancy" and the final episode "All Grown Up," in which he may have inspired Arthur to become a graphic novelist in the next 20 years.
