# Rhyme for Your Life. There are lots of things I like about this one, like how Binky is trying to do something nice for his mother, and not just something selfish for himself. The rhymes are amusing, and I like the fourth wall break at the beginning. The only real downsides to this episode is that I think the very ending was stupid, and there are a few "half-rhymes," like "Brain" and "name." Still, this is one of my favorite episodes of the show.

#* Runner-up: Big Horns George. This episode is incredibly underrated.

Mr. Ratburn joining George and his dad on the walk could be seen as a call-back to Best of the Nest, another outstanding episode.

Hey there! I am an Arthur Wiki admin.

My favorite episode of each season

Note: Opinions are subject to change. If I have a really close runner-up, either for second-favorite or second least-favorite, I'll add it as well.

1. I'm a Poet. The poems are funny. Even this episode has moments I don't like, though. Season 1 was terrible.
2. How the Cookie Crumbles. I like the soundtrack in this one, the part where Muffy tries to recreate the recipe, and the ending. Again, it's kind of weak, especially with the plothole of Muffy forgetting the recipe even though it's in the paper.
3. Arthur's Almost Live Not Real Music Festival. It features a bunch of awesome songs. My favorite song is Homework. They're all good except Leftovers Goulash.
4. None of the episodes in Season 4 are really good, with the exception of The Contest. I scroll through the list of Season 4 episodes and I just think "oh, yeah, these ones exist."
5. This is a low point for the series. No episodes really stand out. However, if I had to pick one, I'd chose The Shore Thing, because it left me with a pleasant feeling.
6. Rhyme for Your Life.
7. Waiting to Go. It's an episode about waiting, and it's surprisingly not boring. This is one of the episodes that I remember really well for some reason.
8. Desk Wars. I love how the tension slowly builds up until it climaxes in a hilarious montage. This episode clearly tries to be more funny than educational, but it succeeds.
9. Breezy Listening Blues. I like a lot of the scenes in this episode, like when Brain imagines himself as Buster, his dream, the part where everybody changes the music in the shop, and Mr. Ratburn looking at the viewers.
10. Do You Speak George? This is another one of those episodes that is really memorable to me. "Kthan uyo!" has got to be one of my favorite Arthur lines of all time. This episode is funny and very creative.
• Runner-up: Operation: D.W.! This episode is For Whom the Bell Tolls done right. It talks about a serious issue without getting too scary, and I think it'd be helpful for kids going through the same thing as D.W.
11. The Making of Arthur. It's funny, I like all the different movie ideas, and it gets super meta towards the end. There are lots of great parts, like Buster's overdramatic narration, Arthur's stop-motion cooking video, Muffy the Umpire Slayer, and This Old Doll House.
12. The Blackout. The Molinas tend to get the best episodes, and this is no exception. I like this episode's atmosphere, and it's overall just a pleasant viewing experience.
13. Fernlets by Fern. Incredibly underrated. This episode has lots of great moments. Fern's birthday haiku, the Binklets by Binky, "Refrigerator, cats ride pickle gloves, happy graduation," and "Solstice, solstice, what rhymes with solstice?"
14. The Long Road Home is one of my favorite episodes of the series. I like how George is walking to raise money for autism research, the way that the El Boomerang arc is resolved by having Alberto receive it as a birthday present, and the return of Adil. I really like the moment where George finally arrives back to Elwood City; it makes me feel really happy and it's a very satisfying conclusion.
• Runner-up: The Agent of Change. This is a great episode in every aspect. The animation is very pleasing to look at, the comedy is on-point, and the plot is interesting. However, as great as this one is, I just couldn't put it above The Long Road Home.
15. Fifteen. Arthur's double-length episodes tend to be pretty great, and this is no exception. The subplots are handled well, there are good jokes, and the episode keeps my attention throughout the whole thing.
16. Get Smart. A topical episode like this has the potential to either become irrelevant and laughable very quickly, or be a good episode and still make sense today. Thankfully, Get Smart is the latter. The rising action is particularly well-done.
17. Buster Bombs. I like the watermelon scene, the part with the pies, and Mrs. MacGrady's role in the episode. It's not the best episode ever, but it's the strongest one in the season.
18. The Substitute Arthur is a hidden gem in Season 18. It teaches a good moral, features lots of main characters, and has some funny moments. I used to not like it that much, but upon rewatch, it's a lot better than I thought it was. The only thing I didn't like was that the beginning was kind of long.
19. Spar for the Course is really creative. The different holes were interesting, and although the ending is predictable, it was cool how it all fit together. The only thing I didn't like was the annoying mini-golf worker who was obsessed with putting a windmill in the course.
20. Prunella's Tent of Portent. Prunella episodes in general are a mixed bag. Some are good, but some I have no desire to rewatch. Prunella's Tent of Portent is a good Prunella episode. It's an interesting episode, although it's not as good once you know the ending.
21. Take a Hike, Molly. The backgrounds are nice to look at, there are some funny scenes, and characters are handled very well.

My least favorite episode of each season

1. Arthur Bounces Back. It promotes immoral acts (Arthur sells something without his mother's permission) and there is not a single joke I liked. Arthur was a lot more of a jerk in these early episodes.
2. Arthur the Loser. Again, immoral acts and obnoxious behavior. My other choice would be one of the infamous D.W. episodes such as Go to Your Room, D.W. or D.W., the Picky Eater.
3. Arthur and D.W. Clean Up. I never see anyone talk about this episode and I think I know why. It's forgettable. Did you remember it existed? I sure didn't! Anyways, this episode is just a bunch of whining and nothing really happens. I don't understand why this episode exists.
4. Buster's Best Behavior. The color palette used in this episode is strangely washed-out and drab, the episode is generally rather dumb, and it's just super boring and I don't care about anything that happens in it.
5. Sleep No More. The concept of a pizza land was really cool and they could have done a lot with it. Buster sits in a generic hotel room the whole time! The fact that it's a pizza land is barely relevant to most of the episode! The episode only has one redeeming joke: the line about sheep and shepherds and shepherd's pie and pizza pie. The rest of the episode, after Buster gives up trying to go to sleep, is completely nonsensical. The episode even pulls a "here we go again" twist at the end!
6. For Whom the Bell Tolls. It’s a real shame that Rhyme for Your Life got paired with this. This episode right here is my second least favorite, right below Cast Away. Arthur is rude and inconsiderate, Jane is ignorant, and why was D.W. faking anyways? Was she even faking? Francine was right, Arthur was “M-E-A-N, mean!”
7. Cast Away. Another "D.W. messes everything up and it's not funny" episode. I skip this one when re-watching Season 7. The only good thing is that Arthur, D.W, and David end up seeing the whale, which saves this from being the second-worst.
8. Arthur's Snow Biz. You know what's not original, funny, or entertaining? The generic "I'm not your friend anymore" episode. It's just about Arthur and Buster trying to make more money than each other, which doesn't really make much sense.
9. Buster the Myth Maker. Fat-free, sugarless, no high-fructose corn syrup, 100% juice, no GMO, no artificial colors, flavorless boredom. This episode is absolute nothing. There is no substance.
10. Arthur Changes Gears. Would you like it if I insisted that "I'd Rather Read It Myself is NOT just an episode. I'd Rather Read It Myself an eleven-minute stream of pure hilarity, creativity, and greatness. No other eleven minutes are as great as I'd Rather Read It Myself," and told you that every time you even mentioned I'd Rather Read It Myself? Replace "I'd Rather Read It Myself" with "GX Trailblazer 10,000" and you get this episode.
11. Buenas Noches, Vicita. It's super boring and not memorable in the slightest. If Vicita wants to sleep, she should try watching this episode.
12. Ungifted's plot is all over the place. First, Buster builds a model and gifts it to Arthur. Arthur trades it away to Binky for a poster. He shows the poster to Buster, and Buster feels offended because Arthur was inconsiderate, and wonders if Arthur gave all his other gifts away. Then Arthur tries to find something to give Buster, because he feels bad about trading the model. D.W. tells Arthur that he should give Buster the poster, but Arthur says the wrong thing and Buster gets angry again. It turns out that Buster built the model because his uncle is coming over and wants to see it. Now Arthur is running all over town, trying to recover the model. It gets destroyed, he rebuilds it, and then he and Buster go to buy a different model. The plot barely feels connected, the episode isn't interesting, and there isn't any humor. The Tibbles are only in the episode to make the previous three minutes all for nothing.
13. No Acting, Please. I don't hate this one, but it's definitely the weakest of the season. It's boring and unmemorable.
14. Pet Projects. I think the key to a good "animal talk" episode is to have multiple characters. The ones that feature returning characters like Amigo, Mei Lin, Killer, or even new ones like Mr. Toad and Dr. Yowl tend to be the better ones of the group. Pet Projects is just Pal and Nemo making fun of each other, and Arthur and Francine's parts aren't that good.
15. Buster's Garden of Grief. The episode is incredibly depressing, downbeat, and has a feel of general hopelessness.
16. So Funny I Forgot to Laugh. I shouldn't need to elaborate. You probably don't like this one either.
17. Dog's Best Friend. There are no jokes, Pal and Nemo are unlikable, and the plot is incredibly generic and overused. I'd watch Pet Peeved if I wanted a "pet being taken care of by a different owner" episode, or Baby Steps if I want an animal talk episode.
18. The Pageant Pickle. Oh boy. This episode right here is the absolute worst episode of Arthur. Worse than Cast Away, and worse than For Whom the Bell Tolls. Arthur is downright annoying. He is complaining about how boring D.W.'s play will be before he even knows what it is. He whines from the instant he hears about it to the minute before it starts. D.W. is a manipulative brat. If you ever want to put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day, just say "The Pageant Pickle."
19. Besties. This episode seems like it's trying really hard to have a moral, but I can't figure out what it is. Is it "Inside jokes are bad unless you're in on them"? Is it "If two of your friends hang out without you, they're not your friends anymore"? Is it "You can have more than one best friend"? The best thing about this episode is the song.
20. Ladonna's Like List. The first part is fine, but then we get to Ladonna trying to check off George's name. The rest of the episode is pretty cringeworthy and embarrassing, and it just makes me feel uncomfortable to watch. George getting angry at the end is pretty good, though.
21. The Lost Dinosaur. Unmemorable and uninteresting. Platy is annoying and not funny. Still, I'd watch this over something like So Funny I Forgot to Laugh or Arthur Changes Gears. It's not outright bad, just kind of weak.
