The episode begins with Muffy standing in front of 'Muffy's House of Fashion Horrors'. She is showing Arthur, Francine, and Buster around. She shows them their own selves and tells them that they look ridiculous. Arthur, Francine, and Buster move on a bit and see one of Muffy's mannicans wearing somethings that they had never seen Muffy wear before. They start laughing seeing it as very funny.
The episode begins with Muffy standing in front of 'Muffy's House of Fashion Horrors'. She shows Arthur, Francine, and Buster around, and believes their everyday clothing is ridiculous. Arthur, Francine, and Buster move on a bit and see one of Muffy's mannequins wearing somethings that they had never seen Muffy wear before. Muffy tries to explain herself as her friends begin laughing.


After the title card, Muffy is seen on her bed watching Capri DiVapida on television on a gondola in Venice, Italy with a reporter, Candy Coco. Muffy compliments her to Bailey who comes in to serve juice. Candy Coco asks Capri what the latest fashion trend according to her was. Capri says that huge sunglasses were in fashion along with whatever she and her pet, Pixel were wearing lately. She also introduces her new catchphrase, 'warm' which means 'cool'. (The El Boomerang signed football is seen). When Capri says that everything she and Pixel hadn't been wearing lately was NOT warm, Muffy is shocked and is seen going to her closet and cleaning out all her old clothes.

A reporter, Candy Coco, asks Capri what the latest fashion trend according to her was. Capri deems it to be large sunglasses, along with whatever she and her dog, Pixel are wearing lately. When Capri says that everything she and Pixel hadn't been wearing lately was NOT warm, Muffy is shocked and cleans out her closet.


She goes to the charity store, 'Care to Ware' and gives them all away. Buzz thanks her and shows her old fashion fads such as 'the poodle skirt' (1950's) and the 'ankle socks' (1970's). Muffy then plans to make her own fads. Sue Ellen enters and buy an old hat of Muffy's.

Binky steals some of the money and runs off.

She tries to show off how good they are by claiming they were very helpful to carry money. However, Muffy falls down and misses the beginning of the race when she tries to take out some money from them.


Next, Francine, Arthur, and Buster are seen inside the Sugar Bowl eating. Muffy enters and shows of her new fad, 'snak-o-scarf' which are made of gourmet fruit rolls. She holds a bag with different flavors of the scarves. Buster takes one of the scarves and eats it. Sue Ellen enters wearing her hat. When Muffy tells her not to wear it and that it is out, Sue Ellen says that she likes the way it looks. Muffy then takes off.
At the Sugar Bowl, Muffy shows Arthur, Francine and Buster her new fad, 'snak-o-scarf' which are made of gourmet fruit rolls. However, Buster only cares about eating them. When Sue Ellen enters wearing Muffy's old hat, Muffy claims it is "out" but Sue Ellen says that she likes the way it looks. Muffy then storms off.


Next day, she is seen in the cafeteria wearing her 'armings'. She shows them to Fern who takes a look and leaves. Muffy then tried to take one of the trays, but cannot because the 'armings' are very stiff.

Next, she is seen next to the lockers wearing a monocle. She says 'the monocle is so old, it is new' to Arthur who leaves. Muffy turns around and hits her head on a locker door.

Sue Ellen explains that that was the word she uses when she thinks something is cool and that she sometime look it up.
Muffy visits Sue Ellen's house in sweats and wearing a cashmere cap. Sue Ellen invites her in and gives her a smoothie. Muffy bemoans that she couldn't think up of any fashionable trends like Sue Ellen. Sue Ellen then shows Muffy a scrapbook with the term, 'Muffy-it-up' next to a picture of the latter. Sue Ellen explains that she uses the term whenever she thinks a fashion item is cool. Muffy compliments Sue Ellen's outfit and leaves, happy.
