Summary
Arthur takes on Brain at a checkers competition, and everyone rallies behind him — until he lets out a "yowl" that alienates his fans.
Plot
There is a checkers contest and everyone wants Arthur to challenge the Brain, so he does. They have a pep rally for the contest, and only George wants the Brain to win. Muffy starts a web site for "the benefit of all the average kids". In the first pep rally, Brain wins. When they have a post game pep rally, in the middle of Arthur's pep talk, he screams at the crowd. Back at home, he gets a call from Buster to check out Muffy's website. He finds out that Muffy has posted a video of his scream. The next day, Muffy and Francine are passing out flyers supporting Brain. Arthur argues with Francine, until Arthur crumbles up a flyer while screaming. At the next play-off match, everyone, but Buster supports Brain. Arthur concedes when the match starts. At Arthur's House, Francine visits asking him to go to the Inter-Scholastic for them because Brain conceded as well. She apologies to Arthur. Muffy is chosen for the Inter-Scholastic, but is disqualified. The episode ends when Arthur and Brain play checkers inside of Arthur's house.

Francine: Want to go to the interscholastics for us?
Arthur: Huh?
Francine: Brain exceeded too.
Arthur: He did? Why?
Francine: Pep-rally's.
Arthur: Ahh.
Francine: Listen, I'm sorry Muffy and I got a little crazy, I guess it's just because you hurt her feelings, we were kind of forgeting that we were hurting yours, and Brains.
Arthur: Well, thanks for the apology, but I think I just want to play checkers for fun right now.
Francine: Oh, okay, but who are we gonna get then, I mean, I'm terrible at board games.
Muffy: I don't see why I have to be disqualified at the checkers interscholastics, just because I'm a dork.
Crowd: M IS FOR MUFFY, M IS FOR MODEST!
Mr Ratburn: Checkers is a quiet game Muffy, the judges just think it might be if you just represent Lakewood Elementary alone.
