David Read is a fictional character in the Arthur TV show and series of books. He is the father of Arthur, D.W., and Baby Kate, and the husband of Jane Read. He works for a catering company. He is voiced by Bruce Dinsmore.

Apperance

An older version of Arthur without the glasses. His usual outift is a light blue top with dark blur borders with beige pants with loafers.

Career

Mr. Read works for a catering business. (it is not known if it's his own or he works for a company.). He usually works at home or he gets calls for special gatherings. His usual customer is Ed Crosswire

The Read's family consist of 6 members of the household: David Read, Jane Read , Arthur , D.W. Read , Baby Kate and of course, Pal. David has a mother too, Grandma Thora. He has a sister named Loretta who only appears in the segment Arthur's Cousin Catastrophe. He does have 3 uncles, who are shown in the segment Clarissa is Cracked.
