Notes

  • This is the first appearance of Mrs. Tibble, who was the first human character in the series. She was not shown again until in Arthur Babysits that was published ten years later, which introduced her twin grandsons Tommy and Timmy Tibble. The Tibbles became bears in the cartoon, but are still humans in the later books.
