It is eight o'clock now, breakfast is over with and the table has been cleared. Fern has gone upstairs to get ready for school. Meanwhile Adam sat at the island in the kitchen waiting for Mrs. Walters to get ready to go. She was finishing up putting the dishes and silver wear away for the day. Furret had left the kitchen and snuggled up on the coach. He feels asleep very quickly. Raichu stood by the door waiting for him and Fern to go to school. Fern appeared downstairs ready for school; she was wearing her traditional clothes, wearing a purple blouse with yellow buttons, with matching yellow pants and brown loafers. Also with a red bow on her top of her head, she called her mom. "I am ready, let’s get going." Doria and Adam walked out of the kitchen. Adam grabbed his backpack at the door. "Ready." Adam said with a big smile. Adam's smile hide the fact that he hated shopping more than the fact his dad and his mom fought for his purpose of carrier and life. Still this has to be done. Now even the clothes on his back wreck of home a place he feels more closely than ever before. Adam ran out the door into the full lite day to see a car waiting. It was a green Chevrolet Vectra. Doria Walters opened the door of the back of the car. Fern crawled into the backseat putting her backpack on the floor. Adam looked at Doria waiting for her to open the front door. Doria looked at Adam. "What are you waiting for?" Doria Said. "I am old enough to site in the front of a car." Adam said. "Young man, in my house if you are not older than ten, you site in the back." Adam walked over to the backseat and climbed in. He sat one seat from Fern. Doria Walters opened the driver door and sat in the driver’s seat and started the engine and they were off. Not long after their first stop was Lakewood Elementary School. The school was one store with lots of windows. There paintings of flowers, animals and other child images. The door is centered and a flag pole was a few meters from the door. There were a lot of kids standing in front of the school. There were many different types of kids, there were monkeys, cats, dogs, rats, aardvark and rabbits. There were both and girls, big and small. Adam crouched down in fear. All Adam knew that these kids where not the same as the kids he grew up with. Adam is still getting use to the appearance of both Fern and her family. As well as Adam's knowledge to these animals are limited. In his world humans and Pokémon existed side by side. While animals like cats and dogs were only told as description of the Pokémon. And the basic knowledge was told by people who have said they have visited other worlds where there are no Pokémon but animals. Fern ran to the first kid she sees, it was a yellow rabbit with brown hair. She had a pink and blue lined shirt with a blue skirt. The two started talking. Adam turned his head to Doria. She waved goodbye to Fern and just drove off. The first stop was the mall. By then the doors to the largest store was opening. The Mall was a large multi coloured structure. There many signs where on the walls. The store we enter was a Wall to Wall Mart. A large chain store that has a place in this little town, Doria Took Adam by the hand and both walked into the store. Adam felt a preculler energy coming thorough Doria's hand. Adam did not know where it came from but it seems familiar. They walked through the automatic doors. Inside there was a lot of people already inside. Doria and Adam walked over to the boys section of the children section. Doria looked open and down the rows of clothes. A male brown dog store employee asked "Is there something particular you are looking for, Miss?" "Yes, this young man is looking for some new clothes." Doria said. She pointed at Adam. Adam just hides behind Doria. She moved away revealing Adam, his clothes was covered in dirt and yet his skin was clean. "Interesting child," He said. He inspected Adam, then took out a measuring tape and measured Adam. Ok, a size 2 by 5. Pants size boys 3 by 4. "Ok, I will show you where you can go." He took them to the jeans section. "This would fit your son." The employee said. Adam stared at him. "I am not her son doggy." Adam said angrily. "Young man," Doria said in amazement. Adam looked at her and she could see is not impressed with his languish. "What is wrong with you?" She said. Adam looked away with an angry look. "You are not my mother. I am not your son." Adam said. He turned his head back towards Doria by now she was in shock. "I am s.....orry. I am still not use to the people around here." Adam turned his whole body around now. "And this kind of the first time I have seen cats, dogs and other an......imals. Because back where I come from there is no an.....imals, There is just Pokémon. But I have heard of stories of a...imals from people who said they been to a place where animals ex....cisted. So I am sorry for what I said." Adam turned around and started walking over to a rack of clothes. "I understand that you are scared." Doria said. "Fern, told me that you are not from around here. Doria Walters starts to recount to last night. The room was Ferns room. Fern was in bed with Riachue. She was wearing her blue nightgown with a blue bow. Doria was sitting on the edge of her bed. Clark Walters was in the room standing by the door. Doria gave Fern a kiss on the forehead and was about to leave when Fern spoke. "About Adam," Fern said. "If we cannot get him home," Doria turned around and Clark waited for the rest of her request. "Could we keep him?" Fern finished. "I do not know." Said Doria, "He is not a dog or a cat," "I know that, it is when I held his hands today, I felt a weird thing about him." Fern said. She pauses while the adults move back into the room. "Are telling me you have feelings for him?" Doria said. By now the parents where staring in amazement with Fern. "No, it is different. It is like he was meant to be here with us." Fern said. "Look Fern, we will talk about it, for now it time for you to go to sleep." Doria exited the room and Clark turned off the lights. The two grown-ups stared at each other with some bitterness to the way their daughter sounds. Now Doria has finished explaining to Adam about the event that has happened last night. Adam has been standing by the rack, his eyes open wide as if he seen a ghost fell back onto the clothes rack. "I did not know that she wanted me." Adam said. "All I wanted to do now is to finish my adventures in the Kanto region, maybe. And go home to attend" Adam paused for a minute. His eyes started to water up and "to go back to grade four may be." Adam was embarrassed with predicament. He started to cry with the force of Niagara Falls. "I do not want to go home." Adam cried loudly. People around him stopped and looked at the sobbing boy. "I am not happy back there." He sniffled. "All I wanted to do was make my mom happy." Sniffled again, "But I am in going to be held back, my mom does not care. She wants me to be a Pokémon trainer. I just want to be the best Pokémon Trainer. I want to play with Ryan, but I wind up playing with Matthew and have more bite marks, scratches and bruises." Adam by now has calmed down. Doria looked at him in amazement of Adams reactions. She would never expect this out of her own daughter. But not out of a stranger that only less than twelve hours ago she has just meet. Doria sighed; "I will talk to my husband and" She pauses. "We will try to arrange for an adoption of you into my family, Ok." Adam looks at Doria into her eyes. Adam's eyes started to grow bigger and a sparkle of hope seem to glimmer in his teary eyes. Adams mouth went from upsized down to a full smile. "Now, as for now no back talking to anyone, you understand." Doria said with a harsh tone in her voice. Adam smile was still on his face and agreeable nod was all Adam could do. By now the shoppers who were viewing the racket has moved onto their business. Both Doria and Adam caught up with the sales person. "Sorry about Adam he is still new around here." Doria said. Adam looked at the sales men. "I am sorry for calling you names." Adam said. Sale man looked at Doria then to Adam and back to Doria. "Ok, just follow me." The three went on their way. Adam received three shirts, one was a white undershirt, a yellow grebes T-shirt with a big green G, and a green sweat shirt. He received a pair of pajamas, and one pair of navy blue jeans and a blue shorts. As well as the underwear and the socks, Doria was surprised at the end of the trip Adam paid all the stuff with his winnings from being a Pokémon Trainer. But the day has just begun and there is still a lot more things to do today.
