Adam stared at Mew. Mews head dropped. "Mew" Mew said disappointed. "Just Great, I thought that would be the way home." Adam said angry. Adam understands Mew's teleport attack had failed. He was only hoping that it would be his ticket back to the Kanto region and back on his journey to be top Pokémon Trainer. "I know what can help me." Adam said relentlessly. Adam started by patting his pants. He found a large object in his left pocket. He pulled it out and it was his poked. "No, that is not it." Now Fern, the Pokémon and veterinarian are interested in Adams curiosity. Adam returned his Pokedex back into his pocket. He then placed his backpack down on the ground, open it up and started pulling everything out. Eventually, he pulled out a mechanical device. He pushed a button and it activated. "This is my Pokegear." Adam said. "This will show me my location towards the Kento region. Also it is great for communicating with people, and has a radio on it. I kind of keep a few of my favorite songs saved on it." Adam pressed another button it shown a phone function with names in alphabetic order, he pressed it again and the map function appeared on the scanner. An image appeared on the map. An image of a round figure with eyes, it is red and white, it is a voltorb. It made sounds. "It is searching for a satellite signal." Adam explained. A signal came in and a map of Elwood city appeared, then Adam pressed another button and another image of the voltorb appeared. Fern moved closer to Adam. It maybe for support or maybe hope that this traveler would stay. Adam's eyes seemed too popped out of his head. The region he came from was not the same. There is a large city in its place of the smaller cities and all the forests that made Kanto region a hotspot for trainers were gone. Everything was different Adam said to himself. There are no humans; there is no Kanto, there is nothing. Full realizations have overcome all the hope in Adam and fell down in tears. He threw his Pokegear across the office, stood up and started leaving the animal hospital. When the veterinarian called, "Are you forgetting something?" Adam turned around still sobbing. Through the tears he sees his Poke balls and Pokémon staring at him. Adam quickly gathered his Poke balls, returned his Pokémon and called his Furret to follow him. Furret ran after Adam, Fern thanked the veterinarian and followed Adam with Raichu right behind. Adam stood outside crying his eyes out. Furret was consulting him. Fern ran up to Adam and tapped him on the shoulder. "So what are you doing?" Fern asked. Adam rubbed the tears from his eyes. "I do not know, I cannot go home, I cannot return to my adventure, I guess there is no place for me to go now." Adam said sadly. Adam started to cry once again. Fern place her arms around him gave him a hug. Like before, with Ferns presents around all the pain seemed too disappeared from Adam. He looked into Fern's eyes and calming feeling to take over the despair. "Well you have been very good to me." Adam said with a smile. "Can I stay with your family until I have away home." Fern eyes dropped to Raichu and then to Furret. "Oh right, I guess we have to ask my parents, first we got to go to the library." Fern took Adams hand and pulled him down the street, while Furret and Raichu followed behind. They came to a large building it looked like a house. It had pink paint on a wood, with green roof shingles. There were mainly glass windows. There is a small set of stairs leading up to a wooden door. Fern, Adam and the Pokémon enter the building. At the corner was a desk with a female rabbit siting on a black leather chair. She wore a purple dress, with tan coat, wearing a gold chain with a green jewel, she had a gold watch on one arm and a bracelet on the other, and she wore square brown glasses and had brown short hair. She wore brown shoes. Has a white complexion. She stood in font on the chair. "Fern why are you not in school?" Said the rabbit girl, "I was heading to school, when I heard a large bang, I went to investigate the sound and I found him." Said Fern blushing, the lady stared at Adam. "Um hm, I see you are with a human Fern. Adam's eyes seemed to pop out of his head and mouth dropped to the ground. "You know I am human?" Adam said. "Of course you are human, humans exist in this reality." She said, "Reality?" Adam said. "Um is that kind of Science Fiction." The lady seemed to know a lot about this place. "In this reality humans are rare to see and in Elwood city there are no humans live here." Said the lady, “But they do exist in large communities such as New York City, Boston or Los Angeles." Adam was shocked of the words she said. "What is a reality and who are you?" Adam said. "My name is Paige Turner, I am the librarian." She said. "As for the reality, it is a world witch we all exist on. Or plane of existence. We do sometimes figure that there is a larger world that houses humans, but there is a human who seems to appear and disappear here in Elwood city at the most unusual times." From shocked to stunted all the information this lady seems to knowledge was impressive. Fern was stunned as well, but she shook it off. "Adam where did you say you were from?" Fern said. Adam also shook the shock off as well. "I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada." Adam responded. "Miss Turner, where is the books of Toronto." Said Fern, Paige Turner went to her computer, typed in a few words and came back to the group. "It is in the geography section, upstairs." Miss Turner said pointing toward the stairs. Fern grabbed Adam once again off they went up the stairs with the Pokémon following behind. They found the section and the book Fern was interested in. They went over to a table on the other side of the library. Fern searched the book until she found a few pictures of Toronto. "Adam is this were you are from." Said Fern, she picked up the book and shown the book to Adam. Adam smiled and took the book way from her. "Yes, this is where I am from." Said Adam, He flipped through the book until all the pictures of Toronto changed to another city. Fern then took the book to a photocopy machine, placed the book inside, placed some coins in the machine and turned it on. A few seconds later, pages of Toronto appeared from a slot on the machine. Fern took the pages and gave them to Adam. "Here, this will be your reminder of your home." Fern said. Adam blushed. "Thanks" Adam said. The group eventually left the library and walked to Ferns home. Fern opened the door and her mother was waiting. "Where have you been?" She said. Fern look at her and then Adam walked in. "Who is this person?" She said angrily. "This is the reason why I did not go to school." Fern explained. They eventually sat down for lunch and the two started explaining the story of how they met and their eventually decision for him to stay with them. Adam frowned as Ferns mom made her decision. "You know that we will have to talk with your dad," She said. "Yes, I know." Fern said disappointed. "Fine he may stay, unless he follows the rules of the house." She admitted. Adams frown turned upside down. "Yes, I will follow your rules" Adam said excitedly. That night Adam met Ferns dad and they all went to gather to dinner. Adam has found a new home as well as a new adventure that will last longer than he would have back in the Kanto region.
