Pal is a small golden dog with smooth fur and wears a red collar. In the cartoon, his eyes are black; although in the books and on many detailed illustrations, his eyes are normally white with a black dot in each one, but is occasionally seen with black eyes. When he was a newborn puppy, he had fuzzy fur.

Personality

In some episodes, it's shown that Pal can communicate with other animals and human babies. In these episodes, he speaks with a high-brow accent. Pal generally gets along well with others, with the exception of pet cats, especially Nemo and Fur Elise. He is best friends with the Molina's dog Amigo. Pal also likes to sleep under the couch, but he usually loves to sleep on Arthur's bed with Arthur.
