Marina

I found it on Wikipedia where you can find some brief information about things. It said something about Marina wearing a Mighty Mountain soccer uniform in one appearance, and a Lakewood uniform in another; which I think it means that she originally went to school at Mighty Mountain, but transferred over to Lakewood, and it could mean that Marina appears to become more friendly with someone from Lakewood than anyone at Mighty Mountain. --FrancineFan3883 14:37, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

I've often seen a rabbit that is white and has hair like Marina sometimes on the Mighty Mountain team and sometimes on the Lakewood team, but it isn't Marina. It is an unnamed rabbit. I think maybe it is supposed to be the unnamed one with the blue and pink striped shirt that is sometimes seen in Mr. Ratburn's class. Some Wikipedia user just messed up and thought it was Marina. The stuff on Wikipedia isn't always true. I didn't notice this until now, but it is the fact about Marina and the soccer uniforms is actually on our List of Arthur characters page, since it is basically a copy of an old version of Wikipedia's List of Arthur characters page. --Muppetfan 20:39, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Affiliation Request

Hello, I'm Furrtwo, from the WordGirl Wiki. After browsing a bit on this site, I found you're doing a very good job with upkeep and editing, and are the most active contributor here. I am an admin and the most active contributor on my Wiki, and with our two Wikis being based upon two of the most popular shows on PBS Kids Go!, I was wondering if you would be interested in an affiliation between the two Wikis. The WordGirl Wiki would link to here, and the Arthur Wiki would link to there, and if any of both of our visitors were interested in each other's Wikis, they could easily go to it. Win-win for both of us.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if you're interested or not. If you really think it wouldn't help our Wikis or if you think our Wikis aren't ready, go ahead and say so.

Page changes

How do you change a page and rename it?

Very simple. Like if you wanted to change a page, click on the down arrow beside the "Edit this page" button, and type in a new name for a new article (if it does not exist yet), or just merge into another article by typing in the # sign, then "redirect" (all caps without spacing after the # sign), and then type in two left brackets, then the name of the article you're going to merge the stuff into, and then the two right brackets. --FrancineFan3883 23:26 December 22, 2010 (UTC)

I thought Arthur was always careful with his glasses. So He was careful with them as he bathes and swims. So don't really think it's a goof.

Amusement Park

Hey.. do you know what these pages for some sort of theme park are for? For example, http://arthur.wikia.com/wiki/Prunella_Owns_the_City_Light_Factory.? I don't understand it.. all of those pages are made by a guest of the wiki.

I tried looking up those rides, but no results. I think there are no such rides based on the Arthur series, sadly. I saw a lot of guest contributors creating articles about rides, but it was just hard to believe. --FrancineFan3883 18:38 January 5th, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, check out the Sugar Bowl and Ice Cream Shop pages. I found a template (well, I made one.) And I also noticed there are LOTS of vandilists. Some people aren't even doing it on purpose I don't think, like this user below. They're made over 50 pages that make no sense and do not relate to Arthur at all. We should really get some admins here.

Arthur Read and Mary Moo Cow Vandalism

The user Arthursucksdick and the IP adress 71.221.252.105. They added a deletion for the page and used swear word. Changing the age and profile. The user also vandalised the page Mary Moo Cow, deleting all of the information. Please do something about this

Hey, I am not trying to be rude, but, in the 'Controversy' paragraph, it says that the curse word D.W. says was thought to be the 'B word' or the 'F word', but, from what I am hearing, it sounds alot more likely to be the 'C word'. When D.W. yells at Jane and the word is bleeped, Jane says, "What did you just say to me?", and D.W. replies, "C-an I have a soda?" She stops herself at C--, but you can tell what she is about to say. Just pointing that out.

As it appears that neither of the two current administrators have been actively editing in awhile (no one knows who the second admin is anyway), I suggest you or LukePhiladelphia adopt the wiki. It is simply impossible to stop page vandalism without having an active admin. And, I think there should be some new and more specific rules about uploading images. Some should say that for the screenshots, they need to be the correct aspect ratio (4:3 for seasons 1-11, and 16:9 for seasons 12-onwards). Also, if a screenshot is from an episode, they need to credit which episode it came from. Bad wiki contributors

Some wiki contributors are bad!

They always ruin each page.

Yeah, you know like BillyCastleman, he was constantly vandalizing that Binky Barnes article by referring to Binky Barnes as a chicken nugget, even though that character is actually a bulldog. Fixed some of the vandalized pages

I just got through undoing some of the pages that were vandalised by Wiki contributors. By the way this character the 3nd Grade Female Aardvark I made an error with it. It's suppose to be 3rd not 3nd. Silly me.

suggest we get rid of the Postcards from Buster pages. I understand that they are part of the "Arthur Universe" so to speak, but most of the P from B pages have little or no information and Postcards From Buster has very little to do with Arthur itself. STUPID YOUTUBE

Okay, now I'm officially annoyed. WGBH was pretty dumb and has forced all the arthur videos on Youtube (like ones uploaded by wicho262, raincheckz, and iUploadArthur) to be deleted due to a "Copyright claim"

What are we going to do? Arthur on Youtube is the primary source, if not the only source, for nearly every single picture on this wiki! How are we supposed to continue this Wiki when all we have to go off of the single Arthur show that plays on PBS each day? Even then, IPTV (Iowa Public Television) broadcasts Arthur at 3:00 in the afternoon (while I'm still in school).

This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to add on to this wiki without Youtube? I am offficially sickened.

Well, most of the characters who come from the books are inspired by Marc Brown's relatives and friends and experiences. A book called Teaching with Favorite Marc Brown Books show the inspirations of the characters and books. D.W. was modeled after Kim Brown (Marc's sister), but Kate was modeled after Eliza Brown (Marc's daughter). FrancineFan3883, 14:02 November 18, 2011 (UTC)
