D.W really wants the main role for the preschool play, "Little Red Riding Hood". But Miss Morgan chose Emily instead and gave D.W the role of Tree #2. Arthur gives D.W the idea to be an Emily's replacement after she tried to think of ideas to keep Emily from reaching the preschool. The next day, Emily turns out to have lost her voice. This leads to the Tibbles accusing D.W. of harming Emily, which D.W denies. Emily, on the day of the play comes to the preschool okay, but couldn't play the part of Little Red because of her throat still being sore. D.W then forgets her lines and then Emily hissed the words to D.W which saved the play.
