"Buster Bombs" is the second half of the third episode in the seventeenth season of Arthur.
Summary
The unthinkable has happened! Buster has lost his flair for funny, and the harder he tries to make people laugh, the worse it gets. Fortunately, comic legend Vince Ruckles is on hand to teach Buster the true secret to comedy.[4]
Plot
Buster starts the show by showing of his 'comedy garden' with clown bushes, squirting flower patches, bananna peel patches, and his big tree, which holds bad jokes. Buster, at the top, reads a joke, which askes what a boy says when he reaches the top a dead tree. It says 'Aaaa!', and Buster's says so when he falls.
-Buster Bombs-
Buster tells a joke, but tells it over and over. When he says it to Binky, Arthur squirts drink from his nose. Binky thinks it's hysterical. Buster discovers the kids think it is boring, as Muffy says they got it the first time. Mrs. MacGrady says that he is using old jokes, and should get new material.
Buster gets a joke book and crazy clothes, and then smashes watermelons in Binky's yard. Binky says "You're cleaning this up, right?" and eats a piece. Brain and Muffy listen to some jokes, but says they aren't funny. Buster gets Arthur to throw pies at his face, but Bitzi gets upset.
Buster gets to go see Vince Ruckles and he gets him to sign his copy of the book. Vince tells Buster that he lost his touch in life, and then says that he stopped entirely. Buster does just that, and makes jokes unintentionally. Soon, he starts making the gang laugh again, and then he joins along.
