While transcribing On the Buster Scale, I realized how similar it was to Mr. Alwaysright. Then I wondered, “How many other episodes have similar plots?”
- Arthur vs. the Piano and Hic or Treat both feature D.W. having hiccups as a plot point.
- The conflict of both For the Birds and Buster Isn't Buying It are resolved by dressing up as mythical creatures (Skunkamunkah and the Megatoad).
- I Owe You One and The Substitute Arthur both have Buster wanting to hang out with Arthur, bt being unable to, due to different reasons.
- D.W., Dancing Queen and Brain's Biggest Blunder both have a major character teaching another major character.
- Poor Muffy and Opposites Distract both have one character struggling while staying over at another’s house.
- The Curse of the Grebes and Brain Sees Stars have a character believing that they will never witness something due to a “curse.” They see it at the end of the episode.
- The Short, Quick Summer and Brain's Brain have a character unable to remember where they put something important.
- Whistling in the Wind and Two Minutes deal with the fact that Tommy is two minutes older than Timmy.
- Dog's Best Friend and The Perfect Brother both involve a character going to another character's house and feeling left out, due to their other friends/family seeming to appreciate the guest more.
Those are all I can think of for now. Can you think of any other similarities?
