Mr. MacDonald is the father of James, Molly, and their unnamed brother and the husband of Mrs. MacDonald. It is believed that he is the MacDonalds' father because in "Sue Ellen's Little Sister," when he is seen with James and James's brother at the Annual Picnic. He made three other appearances. His first appearance in the series was in "D.W. Thinks Big," at Lucy's wedding. In this appearance, he is seen with two child rabbits who resemble James and James's brother, and an unnamed female adult rabbit who isn't Mrs. MacDonald. He was seen with his unnamed son in "Muffy's New Best Friend," but the two were seen with the same female adult rabbit seen in "D.W. Thinks Big" and seen again in "1001 Dads" with his unnamed son at the Annual Father's Day Picnic.
