"The Short, Quick Summer" is the second half of the 9th episode of season 2 of the animated children's series Arthur. Together with Lost!, it first aired on December 8th, 1997.

Summary

Arthur has a to-do list for the summer, but he can't find it and summer's nearly over. He finds out everyone else had a great summer. He eventually finds his list, and D.W. accidentally helps him realize that he did all the things on the list and had a great time at the same time.

Trivia

  • The three books referenced by Arthur's imagination are Gulliver's Travels, with miniature versions of Binky as the Lilliputians, The Three Muskteers, and Treasure Island, with Mr. Ratburn as Long John Silver.
  • The deck of cards Mr. Ratburn used had 3 black aces. The standard number is 2, so that could be a special deck made specifically for that trick.
