"Surprise!" is the second half of the second episode in the eighteenth season of Arthur.
Summary
It's Catherine's 16th birthday, and Francine has been cordially UN-invited to the party. With the help of her friends, Francine whips up the perfect present for her big sister...a sneaky surprise with a side of payback![3]
Plot
Franncine is thinking about Catherine's birthday party which she discusses later with her dad, who tells her she's not invited. Francine gets angry and goes to confront Catherine. Catherine is annoyed, until her dad scolds Francine. The next day, her friends hear about it. Buster suggested putting stinky cheese in her jacket, Binky suggests putting glue in a bowling ball, and Muffy suggests they film Catherine and Sean, but Francine had something else in mind. At the party, Francine went in the speaker room and started to read from Catherine's diary, embarrassing her. The next day, Francine told her friends what happened. While she was reading, she felt bad and changed her mind and congratulated Catherine on a happy birthday. She also told them that she said Catherine loves Sean, prompting her to chase Francine, ending the episode.
