P.A.W.S., or Parents Against Weird Stories, was a parent group founded by Mr. and Mrs. Crosswire in the episode The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club!. Their goal was to ban scary and/or weird books from the library to protect kids, believing that Muffy got nightmares from reading only one of the books. They held a "big rally" at the library, where Arthur and his friends brought them a petition to bring the books back. While he ignored he petition, Mr. Crosswire was surprised that the Scare-Your-Pants-Off author "E.A. Depoe" was actually his grade school English teacher Ms. McWord.

The group is assumed to be disbanded as they now like the books and it was learned that eating Hasenpfeffer ice-cream right before bed gave Muffy the nightmares.

  • Muffy (forced into to avoid revealing that she took the ice-cream)
