P.A.W.S. (or Parents Against Weird Stories) was a parent group founded by Mr. and Mrs. Crosswire in the episode The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club!. Their goal was to ban scary and/or weird books from the library to protect kids, believing that Muffy got nightmares from reading only one of the books. They held a "big rally" at the library, where Arthur and his friends brought them a petition to bring the books back. While he ignored he petition, Mr. Crosswire was surprised that the Scare-Your-Pants-Off author "E.A. Depoe" was actually his grade school English teacher Ms. McWord.
