P.A.W.S. (Parents Against Weird Stories) was a parent group founded by Mr. and Mrs. Crosswire in the episode "The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club!" Their goal was to ban scary and/or weird books such as all The Scare Your Pants Off Club books from the library to protect kids, believing that Muffy got nightmares from reading only one of the books. They held a "big rally" at the library for all the concerned parents, where Arthur, his friends, and the author brought them a petition to bring the books back. Muffy's backpack spilled open at this rally, revealing that she intended to hoard the books.
The organization is now presumed to be dissolved.
