Maria is a 3rd grader in Mr. Ratburn's class at Lakewood Elementary, and one of the many background characters in the series. She sits with Brain, Fern, and Muffy in Mr. Ratburn's class and most likely hangs out with them along with the other main characters, but is seen with Alex most of the time. As of now it is not known if she will ever get a speaking role or become a major character. She has a brother named Steve that is seen throughout the series, but unlike her, Steve has had a speaking role.
Appearance
Maria is a rabbit with a tan complexion and has brown colored hair. She wears a teal colored dress and a dark blue and pink striped shirt and wears brown colored shoes.
In the summer time she wears a pink and light blue colored dress and the same brown shoes. Her hair also resembles D.W.'s.
When sleeping, Maria wears pajamas which were seen in "The World of Tomorrow".
In "Desk Wars" she wears a light blue and pink colored swimsuit while swimming at Muffy's mansion.
Trivia
- She and Alex are the most recurring of the subtle characters
- She could possibly live next to Grandma Thora's house (evidenced in #30701 "Arthur Rides the Bandwagon".)
- In Buster Makes the Grade, Buster throws a crumbled up piece of paper at her, which annoys her.
- Despite reappearing the most out of any minor/unnamed character, she has never spoken. As a matter of fact she's the only character in Mr. Ratburn's class who has never spoken yet.
