David Read is a fictional character in the Arthur TV show and series of books. He is the father of Arthur, D.W., and Baby Kate, and the husband of Jane Read. He works for a catering company.

An older version of Arthur without the glasses. His usual outift is a light blue top with dark blur borders with beige pants with loafers.
Career
Mr. Read works for a catering business. (t is not known if it's his own or he works for a company.). He usually works at home or he gets calls for special gatherings. His usual customer is Mr.Crosswire
