Arthur's great-uncle was the great-uncle of Arthur Read. Arthur learned about him and two other uncles while researching his family for a class project.
He is not one of Grandma Thora's brothers, as evidenced by his cheese shop containing "Read" in its name. He is instead the brother of Thora's husband.
