The Read's house.

The Read's House is a yellow Cape Cod-esque house with a brown roof and two dormers where Arthur and his family reside, plus their pet dog Pal. Its address is 562 Main Street and is located in Northwest Elwood City.

Description

The Read's house has a kitchen, living room, computer den, a bathroom, three bedrooms, a laundry room in the basement, and a dining room. Arthur has his room to himself and it has green walls, cabinets, his bed, many posters including a Bionic Bunny poster, books, and Bionic Bunny merchandise, and its dormer window is on the right side of the house. D.W. and Kate both share a room and it has pink walls, purple wall something (what do you call these?), orange carpeting, toys and dolls, Mary Moo Cow merchandise, D.W.'s bed, and Kate's crib, and its dormer window is on the left side of the house. The stairs from the first floor to the second floor are located by the front door. In the early Arthur books, the stairs were originally straight and next to the doorway to the living room, until the later books before the cartoon moved the stairs next to the front door and changed the stairs to winder stairs. Pal loves to sleep with Arthur and dislikes the garage. The living room has a TV, a sofa, lounge chairs, a standing lamp, and a brown upright piano.
