Trivia
- In the grocery store, Winlin recited the first stanza of Emily Dickinson's poem, "Hope is the Thing with Feathers," which Buster later chants out the first line during the Grebes' game.
- When Muffy changed her Grebes' hat to a Kings' hat, the Grebes started winning, and every time Muffy was at a game, the Grebes lost.
Cultural references
- This episode takes place in the Fall of 2005.
- The episode's title is a reference to the "Curse of the Bambino", and thus, the Elwood City Grebes are a reference to the Boston Red Sox and the Crown City Kings are a parody of the New York Yankees.
Episode connections
- This is the second episode where the last scene shows a child character as an old adult. The first was And Now Let's Talk to Some Kids.
Production notes
- Like all episodes of Season 10, this episode included the number '10' hidden in various places. For a list of them, see ARTHUR Season 10 Scavenger Hunt.
