Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) was an English writer who was with Lord Byron, John Polidori, and his future wife Mary Shelley when Mary first told her story, Frankenstein, which frightened her friends. Fern recounts the event in the episode Fernkenstein's Monster.
Pery Shelley was one of the most famous romatic poets. He married his second wife Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin in December 1816, a few months after the horror story contest. When Frankenstein was published anonymously in 1818 many people believed that he was the author.
Percy Shelley died in a boating accident in 1822.
