All Kids Can Character Search
All Kids Can Character Search was a contest from February 1 to March 31, 2009. Viewers aged 6 to 12 could submit a design for a new character to appear on the show, with an emphasis on varying abilities or disabilities. The winner was Connor Gordon with his character Lydia Fox, who first appeared in Arthur in "The Wheel Deal", an episode focusing on the abilities of those in wheelchairs. Gordon meets Marc Brown and discusses the character in the "And Now a Word From Us Kids" segment after "The Wheel Deal". This segment is also shown alongside a repackaged version of "Prunella's Special Edition", another episode that introduces a character with a prominent disability.
