Yo-Yo Ma (Traditional Chinese: 馬友友) (born October 7, 1955) is an American cellist and virtuoso. He has received multiple Grammy Awards the National Medal of Arts in 2001 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. Ma is regarded by some as the most famous cellist of the modern age.
