Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States of America. It is in a federal district known as the District of Columbia (hence the "D.C.") located in between Virginia and Maryland. It is the site of White House, home to the President of the United States, and is home to Congress, the Supreme Court, and many other institutions of the federal government. Washington D.C. is a location visited by Arthur and his family in the Season 2 episode 79 "D.W. Goes to Washington." The characters tour different memorials here and meet the President.
