Washington is the 42nd state of the United States. It has been seen or referenced multiple times throughout the Arthur franchise:
- Buster visits Seattle, Washington in two Postcards from Buster episodes, "Sleepy in Seattle" and "Coming Together."
- In "Don't Ask Muffy," Muffy mentions that Baltimore, Maryland is becoming the next Seattle.
- In "Buster Spaces Out," Buster was talking to Arthur and says, “Oh the Moon to hard, why don’t you just go to Seattle”.
