Hey Arthur Read fan

First please forgive my intrusion, this is my first time using the talk page, I'm trying this out. How are you.

Well, I'll be honest here; I'm not feeling too great, given that I've had the flu since last Thursday. Although, I am feeling slightly better today. Thank you for asking how I'm doing. Hope my response didn't shock you.

I'm Scrooge's friend and helped him move off the site (though I won't be staying because I have other wikis to edit & arthur is not my expertise). You are now a rollback user :) Admin (talk) 18:27, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi Admin. How are you and nice seeing you.

So Arthur Read fan, first I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling good. Know what stinks? I don't feel so good either. I've been feeling tired and weak all day and still feel that way. It's even a miracle I took a much needed shower today! I have peripheral neuropathy and unknown autoimmune diseases and arthritis.

I'm tired so I won't talk long. Hope you feel better, myself too. It was a cruddy day for me! I'm just happy I now know how to reply to this chat.

Okay I gotta go, again, not feeling so well! Have a wonderful kind of day!

I am fine, BACR5050. I am typically found as an editor on other wikis, like the Super Mario Wiki or WiKirby. Admin (talk) 06:50, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Galleries

Hey, did you know that we have a special tool called BatchUpload? It's exclusive to admins. You can drag and drop a bunch of images up to it and it automatically uploads them, and it doesn't upload duplicates. It's very efficient for doing galleries. I'd suggest doing only 50 images at a time so as not to overwhelm it, though. Scrooge200 (talk) 05:41, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Thanks. That's good to know. -Arthur Read fan (talk) 22:06, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Technical updates

Hello. Alex95 has suggested ideas for the wiki, and I would like to hear your opinion on them. I have detailed them at Forum:Admin discussion. Scrooge200 (talk) 05:22, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Admin rights

Ah, sorry about that. I have demoted you from admin. If you ever feel like you want admin rights here, just ask me and I will promote you again. Scrooge200 (talk) 19:30, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

All right. Thank you. Have a wonderful kind of day!

Re: An important message

Often times, the social media staff and WGBH themselves are separate teams, so they may have separate views. WGBH's statement was that they "appreciate the memes that have been created and shared in good fun" but are "disappointed by the few that are outside of good taste." In context, the meme could mean that Arthur is either upset about D.W. on the magazine cover or wants to punch her for it, which I would personally find inappropriate. I am conflicted about keeping the Twitter account on the main page, as while it is official social media, it is likely not directly affiliated with WGBH. Scrooge200 (talk) 21:01, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Yeah. Maybe we should get opinions from the other admins as well, and see what they think about it. I'm personally for the removal of the link to the Twitter account, as well as the Google + link (since Google + isn't even a thing anymore).

Very good point about the meme context for that tweet, as well. I find the fist meme inappropriate anyway, since there are way funnier Arthur memes that don't involve the fist.

Re: It's back...

I'd say this pushed me over to being on the side of removing it. Of the meme guide they tweeted, one image was edited and the article failed to acknowledge that. Also, some of their latest Tweets in response seem rather unprofessional and have missing punctuation. I think you should ask the other wiki staff, but I am for removing it now. I think the Google+ page can go anyways since G+ has been down for a few years. Scrooge200 (talk) 02:41, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, the Google+ link should definitely go. I'll go ask TheAtomicLight and Caesar what they think about the Twitter scenario as well. -Arthur Read fan (talk) 04:25, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
