Chickin Lickin' is a fast food chain that is a parody of Kentucky Fried Chicken (also known as KFC), located in Elwood City and elsewhere. The actual restaurant has not been seen, but a running-gag in the show is that when one of the main character (most commonly the Frensky family [1]) turns on their television their commercial plays. Chickin Lickin' was first mentioned in Sue Ellen Chickens Out when they were threatening to purchase the rights to the Sugar Bowl, but Sue Ellen created a protest march to prevent Chickin Lickin' from purchasing their favorite restaurant and hangout. Ultimately, the Sugar Bowl's owner Carl Manino refused to sell his store to Chickin Lickin', keeping it open for business, but Chickin Lickin' still existed.

Chickin Lickin' is represented by its mascot/spokesperson Beauregard Poulet, a well-to-do Southerner who "founded" the Chickin Lickin' through his lifetime occupation as a chicken breeder. However, he admited that he is an actor and fakes the Southern accent.[2]

Jingle

A commercial once for Chickin Lickin' was played on the television in the Frenskys' apartment. In the commercial, the jingle is played[3] .

Lyrics:

  • Oh, we are a family
  • As close as we can be
  • It's as easy as 1, 2, 3
  • To be a fami-lyyyyyyy
