Marc Brown's children are heavily referenced in the TV series as well as in the books. He has had a silent cameo in the episode [[Elwood City Turns 100!]] In the episode [[D.W.'s Library Card]], there is a book on a shelf D.W. was looking at called "The Life and Times Of Marc Brown."
He was born on November 25th 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania. He has three children: Tolon, Tucker, and Eliza. In 1976, he started writing the arthur books based on a story about an aardvark he was telling his son. Currently, he lives in Marthas Vineyard, his studio is in his barn, this is where he writes and illustrates his books. He gets litterally hundreds of thousands of fan letters from young children that read his books.

Marc Brown is the creator of the Arthur books.
