Loretta (née Read) is Arthur's paternal aunt, David's older sister, Bonnie's sister, and Thora's daughter. She is married to Bud and has one son named Ricky who is a middle child, and two daughters, her oldest is Monique, but her youngest doesn't have a known name. Her married name is unknown, although "Read" is her maiden name, due to the fact that she is David's sister. She appeared only in Arthur's Cousin Catastrophe.

When going to reunions, she likes to use a three-bladed spatula with a red button on the grip known as the Flip'omatic to flip multiple hamburgers on the grill at the same time, although it sometimes can flip meat too high in the air that can unexpectedly land in other places. She is also known to often use the word "dear" when speaking to her sister-in-law, Jane.

Appearance

Loretta is an aardvark who has a tan complexion and long wavy orange hair with bangs, and wears a green shirt with white loops, olive green caprice, a pair of gray bracelets, and tan slip-on shoes.

In the episode Phony Fern her appearance has changed. Her complexion has turned from tanned to cream, her hair color has turned brown, She wears a red shirt, and has pink bracelets. In "Strangers on a Train." her appearance changes a third time, where she has a white skin complexion and blonde hair.
