Jessica is Arthur, D.W., and Kate's maternal aunt, sister to Jane, Fred, and Lucy, and Dave's daughter and the oldest of Dave's children. She is married to Richard and has only one daughter named Cora.
Appearance
Jessica is an aardvark with a light tan complexion, short curly orange hair, and red lipstick. She is often seen wearing formal clothes. Although she is an aardvark, she has a Y-shaped rabbit's nose as opposed to two nostrils that aardvarks usually have.
Summary
In her only appearance, Jessica comes with her husband Richard and daughter Cora to the Read's house to stay the night and attend the wedding of her sister Lucy the next day and her daughter Cora is the flower girl.
When Cora shows her mom her locket that she accidentally broke and blames it on D.W. Jessica tells D.W. not to play rough with Cora's locket not knowing that D.W. didn't do anything.
That night Cora asks her mom if she can sleep with her because she hates D.W.'s room and that the colors hurt her eyes to which Jessica tells Cora that she needs her sleep because she has a very important job in the wedding tomorrow.
The next day as Jessica is putting on her makeup, D.W. tries to put some powder on her aunt's face but accidentally gets it on her aunt's dress and Jessica shoos her out. When Cora gets her crown for the wedding, Jessica tells Richard to take a picture of her to which Richard does. At the wedding, Arthur (who is the ring-bear) accidently loses his balance and throws the ring up in the air to which it falls into the pipe organ.
Arthur tries to get in the pipe organ but can't fit in and when Cora goes in she refuses and asks if they can get another ring to which Jessica comes and takes her daughter away telling her that she doesn't have to go into the filthy old organ.
Luckily D.W. manages to go into the organ and gets the ring to which everyone including Jessica cheer for her and Lucy makes D.W. the flower girl instead of Cora to which Cora starts to complain but when her mom looks at her and her aunt says her name she says that it's all right that D.W. gets to be the flower girl.
In the end Jessica is seen along with Richard and Cora waving goodbye to Lucy and her husband as they leave for their honeymoon. Jessica doesn't appear in any more episodes after this and isn't mentioned by any of the characters.
Past Life
Like her siblings, Jessica grew up near Unidentified Town on Grandpa Dave's Farm (inferred as her dad Grandpa Dave is said to have lived there for a long time). Template:CharacterNav/Read
