What do you all think? I will need input from each admin before any changes are made, and all editors are welcome to voice their opinions. Personally, I am in support of upgrading to version 1.34 (provided that we keep the Recent Changes how they currently are), Google Rich Cards, the Echo extension, and Help:Contents. I am unsure about Trello as I do not feel we will have much use for it, and I am not sure about the advantages of Lua templates (Alex answered that he does not personally use this option). Arthur Wiki currently does not have a Discord server, but this idea has been brought up a few times and I think it may be worth thinking about. ::To sum up, here are my thoughts:
*Question: The wiki is currently at version 1.31. Would you guys like it updated to 1.33 or 1.34?
**Answer: 1.33. Arthur Wiki on FANDOM will also be going to this version in the near future as part of the UCP changes.
*Suggestion: Trello card system for keeping track of what needs done (it will be grouped with our own list).
**Answer: No. I have enough on my plate as it is.
*Suggestion: Templates being replaced with Lua coding: https://www.lua.org/.
**Answer: Why would you replace templates? Templates are great! One of the other FANDOM wikis I work on, Big Idea Wiki, makes strong use of Templates, and I've been thinking of adding new Templates to Arthur Wiki on FANDOM in the future.
*Suggestion: Help:Contents page or something similar. (He stated that this one is required.)
**Answer: Yes. This is a good idea.
*Suggestion: Discord notifications, if you have a Discord to send them to.
**Answer: Strong No. Discord is terrible.
*Suggestion: Echo extension, for notifications like your edit being undone, sending thanks, etc.: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Echo (for example, this system exists on Inkipedia).
**Answer: Not sure about this.
*Suggestion: Google Rich Cards (those box results that show in Google when you search for something)
**Answer: Again, not sure about this.

Hello, community members. Alex95, a tech support member of the wiki, recently suggested technical ideas for the wiki:

  • The wiki is currently at version 1.31. Would you guys like it updated to 1.33 or 1.34?
  • Trello card system for keeping track of what needs done (it will be grouped with our own list).
  • Templates being replaced with Lua coding: https://www.lua.org/.
  • Help:Contents page or something similar. (He stated that this one is required.)
  • Discord notifications, if you have a Discord to send them to.
  • Echo extension, for notifications like your edit being undone, sending thanks, etc.: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Echo (for example, this system exists on Inkipedia).
  • Google Rich Cards (those box results that show in Google when you search for something)

Scrooge200 (talk) 05:19, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
