After several failed attempts to get Francine into the school unnoticed, Binky agrees to distract Mr. Ratburn. When Binky's distraction fails, Francine is caught coming into the school late, and everyone gets sent to the principal's office to figure out what happened. Everyone confesses, but only Francine receives punishment, as she was the only one who actually was not in attendance at school. Mr Ratburn is also happy that Arthur, Buster and the Brain admitted to him why they didn't do their homework. Mr Ratburn resolves this by giving them an extra assignment.
