D.W. Read
Dora Winifred "D.W." Read is a fictional character in the Arthur books and TV series. She is Arthur's little sister, and older sister of Baby Kate.
D.W. is often annoying to Arthur (he considers her a pest), but deep down truly loves her brother. She also has an imaginary friend named Nadine. She hates her full name, and has everyone call her D.W. for short.
In the episode "D.W. All Fired Up", it was revealed that she had a fear of fire drills. In the episode "Kiss and Tell" it is revealed that she has a crush on her classmate James. At her aunt's wedding, she was the flower girl. She also is a picky eater (as seen in "D.W. the Picky Eater"), and hates spinach. She had a snowball that was stolen by aliens athough although she always believed Arthur stole it for several episode and mentions it during the show. She is known for her many short-lived obsessions.
