"D.W. Flips" is the second half of the sixteenth episode of season 1 of the animated children's series Arthur. It originally aired on January 6th, 1997.
Summary
D.W. wants to take gymnastics class after seeing a gymnast on TV, but her mom gives several examples of D.W. never finishing what she wants to do. She gets her way and goes to her first class. Emily is there and D.W. doesn't like her because she seems to do everything perfectly. D.W. is determined to be better than her and ends up making a new friend.
Plot
After D.W. sees an acrobat called Tina Trampolina win the gold medal, D.W. decides immediately that she wants to take gymnastic classes.

Goofs
- In the end, D.W. can be seen riding in the front seat of her parents' car, despite that the front seat is not safe for children under the age of 13 in any car, since she is 4 years old. Her brother Arthur is 8 years old and also too young to ride in the front seat. Despite the fact that the car has no passenger airbag.
- When D.W. is cartwheeling in Aisle 7 she bumps into something and the items are rolling in Aisle 8.
