Bucky was a fish that was caught by Arthur and David Read in "D.W.'s Deer Friend". When D.W. saw Bucky, she cried over the fish's death and David and Jane held a funeral for it for her sake, with D.W. lamenting that it never got to know her and David reassuring D.W. that Bucky has gone to a place better than the lake it was fished out of where it can swim happily.
