Arthur Writes a Story is the twenty-second book in the Arthur Adventure series. It was written and illustrated by Marc Brown and published by Little, Brown and Company on September 1, 1996. It was the first Arthur Adventure book to be adapted from an episode, however book was in production at the same time as the cartoon show, and was published the day before the cartoon's first episode: Arthur's Eyes and Francine's Bad Hair Day aired on television for the first time.
