Arthur's Birthday is a computer game that is part of the Living Books series. It is based of of the book Arthur's Birthday. This game was first released in 1994.

Gameplay

Like most Living Books games, the narrator reads the story out loud and the player can play mini-games to get clues about the the book. In this one you have to get clues about each present. D.W keeps track of your clues throughout the game. Also, if you click objects in the background, they will make an animation.(e.g a firecracker) Despite the fact that the mini-games gives you clues, the "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" does not.

Trivia

  • Unlike Arthur's Teacher Trouble, the characters appearances and voices are similar to what they look like in the TV series even though it was made before the TV show. However the TV series must of been planned.
  • Muffy was shown for the first time without buck teeth in this game, although she had them in the book this game is based upon. Her removal of buck teeth had not been an official change until during the middle of Season 1 of the cartoon show, which led to the idea of removing those teeth in the books as well.
  • The second page is Mr. Marco's second grade classroom. Binky is in that classroom as well as in the book, although he's Mr. Ratburn's third grade student in that timeframe before getting held back.
  • On the third page, Binky and Prunella are in the same classroom with the rest of the kids, although Binky and Prunella are Mr. Ratburn's third grade students, while the rest are Mr. Marco's second grade students. However, Mr. Ratburn was removed in contrast to the book.
  • When Arthur leaves for school, he puts on his jacket; although the jacket was not visible before he put it on.
  • On the ninth page, when the player clicks on the garage door of the Reads' house, a group of elephants get inside and the door closes perfectly. If it happened for real, the garage would collapse and the elephants would die.
  • On the eighth page, when the player clicks on the woodsteps to the tree house, Arthur uses the remote to cause them to vanish; and then the footsteps would reappear if the tree without the steps is clicked. If there were no steps, Arthur and Francine would get injured severely and possibly die if they jumped out of a tree house that many feet high.
  • On the fourth page, when clicking on one of the windows on the half where the boys are, water fills up the classroom and then drains out the window. If it happened for real, people inside would get electrocuted and the school could burn down.
