Dora Winifred (D.W.) Read is Arthur's little sister, and older sister of Baby Kate.
D.W. is often annoying to Arthur (he considers her a pest), but deep down truly loves her brother. She also has an imaginary friend named Nadine. She hates her full name, and has everyone call her D.W. for short.
In the episode D.W. All Fired Up, it was revealed that she had a fear of fire drills.In the episode kiss and tell it is reavelled that she has a crush on her local classmate James. At her aunt's wedding, she was the flower-girl. She also is a picky eater (as seen in D.W. the Picky Eater), and once hated spinach. She had a snowball that was stolen by aliens athough although she always believed Arthur stole it for several episode and mentions it during the show.
