Biography

The book started with Uaica running from a group of bullies who were teasing him, when he comes across a Mango tree with other forest animals eating the mangos and sleeping. Uaica ate one of the mango's and fell asleep, there, he dreams of the Jaguar Men who teach him the ways of the Jaguar. Afterwards, it was said Uaica was never teased by the other boys again.

Arthur Read and D.W. worked together to draw and write another version of the book so Vicita could sleep, however in their version, Uaica never gets down from the tree, causing Vicita to dream another ending of the story where he did get down. In this version, Vicita and Raulito explore the jungle to get him down. Uaica told them that he was scared of heights, but eventually manages to climb down and eat their magic mango.
